PRODUCT OVERVIEW

The CX-IF is a 3U communication module, primarily used to connect remote RIO-300 and SCU-300 units to the vehicle network. Additionally it has capability to serve as gateway between various vehicle networks.

The CX-IF is equipped with an integrated Ethernet switch which provides direct 10/100Mbps connectivity for up to 2 devices or to the ring. The gateway provides two interfaces to connect to up to two CANopen busses, one MVB interface, two RS-422/435 serial interfaces. The CX-IF features:

• Event-driven transfer of process data between Ethernet, MVB and CANopen networks
• TRDP protocol, supports TCN-DNS URI addressing
• Supports Ethernet ring topology (UcRing protocol
• MVB bus administrator capability
• CANopen master capability

Configuratio profiles are defined by configuration text files. For simple configuration profile selection it is equipped with a 16 pole rotary switch.

Variants with only one communication interface on the front panel are CX-ETH, CX-MVB.
